Embracing Change and Welcoming New Horizons 🌅

Welcome back, champions, to the All for Climate newsletter, where we dive deep into updates, events to join and stories of cool collectives doing fantastic work. For the past two months, there have been a lot of shifts within All for Climate to help turn it into a bigger and better place. Without further ado...

1. Farewell to a Leader, Welcome to New Beginnings

@Leen with a smile that can light up any room!

It's with mixed emotions that we bid adieu to our incredible leader, Leen. Her dedication, vision, and unwavering commitment have been the driving force behind All for Climate's operations. While her departure is bittersweet, we're excited to see where her passion for sustainability will lead her next. Join us in wishing her the very best in her future endeavours! 🌟

A personal note from Leen can be read on her LinkedIn profile.

A thank you will never be enough, Leen 💚

2. Welcome to our newest recruit, Babette 👋

On a brighter note, we're thrilled to introduce the newest member of our All for Climate family, Babette! Babette brings a fresh perspective and boundless enthusiasm to our team. Her background in environmental science and her passion for climate action make her a valuable addition, and we can't wait to see her contributions unfold. Welcome aboard, Babette! 🌿

A personal note from Babette:

Dear collectives,
Along with this beautiful message, I would love to take the opportunity to share how excited I am to meet you all. It is inspiring to see how many people, collectives, projects and movements go above and beyond daily to strive for climate and social justice. Undoubtedly, I am most eager to continue the mission that Leen and Xavier started four years ago. I want to thank the team for warmly welcoming me, and I look forward to connecting with more of you.
Some of you have already seen me pop up in the back office, and for those who didn't, I will be processing your collective's expenses, VLEs, grants and hopefully numerous donations for your movement. Feel free to contact me and the team through info@allforclimate.earth with all your questions, problems and doubts. You are always welcome to share new ideas and plans as well!
I am very much looking forward to supporting you.
-Babette

3. Climate for All at Gamification Europe 🎮

You may remember a "little" project called Climate for All, through which a collective of members from five partner organisations will develop a series of games to tackle climate change by building competencies on sustainability. The team will also train external facilitators from the networks of the partner organisations and, of course, the collectives hosted by All for Climate to run games-based workshops with their target groups, further expanding the project's impact on the global scene.

In our last newsletter, we announced that the project had been approved for the Erasmus+ grant the team applied for, which allows the project to be kicked off safely, which is already taking place, as the project is currently in its research phase. We now also know that the application was among only 15% of approved applications for this grant type on the same round!

In further news, however, our very own Antonis will present the project at the largest and most important conference on gamification in Europe! Feel free to attend Gamification Europe in Utrecht on October 26 & 27. Alternatively, you can, of course, further support the collective with a donation.

Promo banner for Gamification Europe, with a cube on the top left next to the text "Gamification Europe 2023 conference", the hashtag #GEU2023 on the top right, a photo of Antonios Triantafyllakis in a hexagon on the middle left and the text "I'm contributing an awesome session at #GEU2023! Antonios Triantafyllakis, Head of Learning, All for Climate" on the middle right, the logo of the conference (colourful cubes seemingly moving away from each other) with the title "the breakout" (the 2023 theme of Gamification Europe) on the bottom left, and the date "26 & 27 October 2023, Utrecht, Netherlands" on the bottom right. On the red-coloured footer, white text reads, "Buy your ticket: gamification-europe.com".

As we wrap up this edition, we extend our heartfelt gratitude to all of you who make a difference daily. Your passion and dedication to making a difference are what drive us forward.

Stay inspired, stay connected, and stay committed to your passions and pursuits. We're in this together, and together, we'll create a brighter future wherever your journey may take you.

Until next time, keep riding the waves of positive change and embracing the adventures ahead.

With warm regards,

All for Climate Team 🌎
