1. Our new board members 👔
We are excited to introduce two new members to the All For Climate board! Their dedication and passion for what we do will strengthen our collective efforts as we continue to move. Here's a word from each of them:
- Moyna: I am a retired principal teacher who taught in mainstream and special education for over 42 years. Upon retiring, I got more involved with climate activism as I want my two grandchildren to know their nana tried to do something. First, I joined XR in Ireland and later got involved with XR UK as well. Now, I came aboard with A4C as I see their services as vital for volunteer collectives who don't want individual members to hold the group's funds. I feel my skills, expertise (and age) can bring some value to the Board.
- Antonis: Somewhere on that journey, I realised fiscal hosting is a thing, and it can solve a significant pain point for climate activists by allowing them to focus on their work for sustainability instead of paperwork. A4C became a fiscal host for some collectives I was involved in, and I quickly joined initiatives that can help the work of A4C directly. I loved working with the people, kept helping more and more, and even initiated the project Climate for All and successfully raised funds for it. Joining the Board now feels like a natural step forward, a level up on my responsibilities and a way to contribute more to the vital work of the organisation.
As we welcome our new board members, we also want to express gratitude to Xavier, who stepped down from the board at the end of 2024. Thank you for your contributions!
We’re confident that these changes will bring fresh perspectives and continued momentum to All for Climate’s mission!
2. Proposal for a savings account💰
💶 Proposal: Opening a Sustainable Savings Account with VDK Bank
Dear collectives,
At All For Climate, we’re always looking for ways to regenerate our shared funds with minimal to no risk. That’s why we’re proposing opening a safe and ethical savings account with our trusted partner, VDK Bank in Belgium.
VDK is a sustainable bank that reinvests savings in socio-ethical and ecologically responsible projects. You can read more about their impact approach to savings here:
👉 VDK – Saving with an impact
💼 How it will work
We propose to allocate 50% of the funds currently held in our VDK current account into two types of savings accounts:
- 33% of total funds on long-term savings account – with modest interest, but flexible access
- 17% of total funds on short-term (6-month fixed) savings account – offering a higher interest rate, but funds are locked in for 6 months.
We’ve carefully reviewed our donation and spending history and confirmed that this move will not affect our liquidity. We’ll still have more than enough cash flow available to meet the collectives’ regular needs.
📈 What’s the benefit?
The expected yearly interest income is around €1,200, and this will be allocated to the A4C treasury to help cover emergency costs and shared infrastructure that benefit all collectives.
This is a small but meaningful step toward more responsible financial stewardship, aligned with our shared values.

3. CAF grant opportunity📢
We’re happy to announce that All For Climate is now officially eligible to receive grants from CAF America from June 5, 2025, to June 5, 2027.
CAF America periodically publishes its own grant opportunities and also shares partner organisations with other funding options. This opens up a great chance for your collective to explore new funding possibilities during our eligibility window.
If you need some extra funding for an important future project, we highly recommend keeping an eye on their granting opportunities.

4. Tax-deductible cross-border donations🌍
We’re exploring how to make cross-border donations tax-deductible through Transnational Giving Europe (TGE). This would allow donors in other European countries to benefit from local tax deductions.
👉 Important:
Donors must first donate through the TGE partner in their own country—not directly through Open Collective—otherwise their donation cannot be tax-deductible.
TGE charges a 5% fee, making transfers on their internal schedule.

5. Updates from the fiscal host💚
This is what All For Climate has been up to in April and May:
- A warm welcome to MotionLab Gym, XR Namur and XR Carcassonne, who joined our network!
- We have paid out 223 expenses and received 2792 contributions.
- We received a new grant of $40.000 (€35.000) from the Climate Emergency Fund. We thank them for their continued support!
- We are preparing the statistics research project with SWB (read below) to start in September.
- We joined meetings with other Fiscal Hosts to create a network and exchange best practices and ideas.
- We progressed with the working group on updating the cooperation agreement between A4C and the collective admins. Let us know if you still want to join!
- We held our first Community Assembly of the year on May 14th. Don't hesitate to join the next one in autumn, to meet fellow collectives, ask questions and share your doubts.
Just so you know, we coordinate all our calls and activities on our Discord server. You are very welcome to join!
6. Statistics without borders📅
Help Us Understand Your Impact (Coming in September)
In September, you’ll receive a short questionnaire from our collaboration with Statistics Without Borders. It’s designed to help us better understand your collective’s impact—and how we can support you even more.
You can read more about it in our previous newsletter. Thanks in advance for helping us!
7. Summer break🌻
After six months of tireless dedication, the All for Climate team has successfully set this year's holiday dates.
Expenses will not be processed during:
- July 15 - July 25
Please submit your expenses on time if you need them reimbursed urgently!
Throughout August, our team will also take a much-deserved break from meetings. Expenses will still be processed.
We greatly appreciate your understanding and patience as we continue our hard work and commitment to our mission.
